BAXTER CHAPEL - Patsy Louise Shively, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday December 17, 2024, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born in Cookeville, TN, on December 1, 1970, she devoted her life to her family, leaving a profound impact on everyone who knew her.
Patsy was married to her adoring husband, David Shively, and was a proud mother to two daughters, Tara (Cameron) Wilson and Tiffany Carr. She cherished her role as "Nano" to her grandchildren, Aydan, Bray, Cam, and Benji Wilson, and Carson and River Cusick. Her dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. As a hardworking homemaker, Patsy created a warm and loving environment for her family, always ensuring that her home was filled with love and laughter. She particularly loved celebrating holidays, making each occasion special for her loved ones.
Patsy is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as her sister, Jana Hargis (Patrick York). She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Richard Hargis and Pauline Marie Burgess Hargis, and a brother, James Loyd Hargis.
A funeral service honoring Patsy will be at 2 p.m. Sunday December 22 at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Cameron Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday from 4 -7 p.m. and again Sunday from 1 - 2 p.m.
Patsy Louise Shively will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
