Patti Jean Thiry
December 8, 1955 – April 26, 2025
Patti Jean Thiry, born on December 8, 1955, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, went home to be with Jesus on April 26, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort in her home, with her devoted husband by her side.
Patti was a woman of deep and unwavering faith, known for her compassionate spirit and selflessness. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, embodying grace and kindness in every aspect of her life. A devoted wife and loving mother, Patti's presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts she touched.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph N. Thiry; her cherished daughter, Mary Thiry; and her dear sisters, Gerry Haynes (Ken) of Salem, NH, and Susan St. George of Bolton, MA. Patti's memory will be treasured always by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
A burial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, May 9, at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hope Ministries or Samaritan's Purse, causes close to Patti's heart.
