Paul W. Buschman, 83, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 21, 1940 in Reynolds to the late Clarence Henry and Florence Etta (Ziemer) Buschman. On October 2, 1960 he married the love of his life, Shirley Swartz at St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2023.
He was a 1958 graduate of Reynolds High School. He served in the United States Army National Guard for six years. He farmed for ten years before opening Buschman's Service Center that he co-operated for over fifty-four years with his last working day on September 27, 2024. He was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Elks. He enjoyed golf and working in his lawn. He loved wintering in Florida.
Surviving are his children, Steven (wife, Christy) Buschman of Monticello and Beth Ann (husband, Chuck) Landis of Georgetown; grandchildren, Lindsey Ann (husband, Gilles) Bourret, Joshua Lee (wife, Shelby) Landis, Tyler Paul (wife, Jessica) Landis, Konnor Paul Buschman, and Keira Ruthann Buschman; and great-grandchildren Lucie, Oskar, Claire, and Carly.
In addition to his parents and wife, Shirley he was also preceded in death by an infant son, Andrew Paul Buschman; sister, Anne Wigner; and brother Fredrick William Buschman.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11am (EDT) until 1pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1pm beginning with military rites. Rev. John Westfall will officiate services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
