Paul Marion Danner

Paul Marion Danner, 92, of Lawson, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Aspire Senior Living in Excelsior Springs.
Paul was born on February 9, 1932, in Lexington, the son of John and Viola (Woodrow) Danner. He was united in marriage to Irma Faye Manley of Lawson on October 22, 1949; she preceded him in death on July 24, 2022.
Survivors include: son, Michael Eugene Danner of Henrietta; six grandchildren: Robert Danner, Jr., Tracie McLaughlin, Stacy Newman, Misty Ayers, Justin Danner, and Brent Danner; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Gilbert (Rose) Danner of Chillicothe.
In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Robert Danner, Sr., brother, Johnny Danner, and two sisters, Dora Manley, and Anne Danner
Paul attended Lexington and Orrick School Districts. He was a box cutter for Alton Box Company, later called Jefferson Smurfit. Paul enjoyed working on cars and small engines, where he worked mostly on small engine repairs. He also enjoyed running the sound board at church and for his son's band, whom he was very proud of. Paul loved coon hunting near his home and fishing in Minnesota. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them on vacations and attending all of their programs and sporting events. Paul liked to travel, teaching people to do what he did; he enjoyed helping people. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Canaan Hill Church of the Nazarene in Lawson, with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M., with services to follow at 2:00 P.M.
