Mr. Paul "Bozo" "Bubba" Wayne Darnell, 65, resident of Cornersville, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11th at 11:00 AM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 10th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home.
A Lewisburg native, he was born on June 15, 1957, to the late James Chester Darnell and the late Elizabeth Evelyn Collins Darnell. Bozo was a die caster at Walker Die Casting, before retiring after forty years of employment. After his retirement, former co-workers would tell him how much he made work fun for them. He was a devoted family man, an amazing dad, and deeply loved his grandchildren. Bozo enjoyed tinkering with everything, and would usually have two or three of something laying around. He was also always working on lawnmowers and chainsaws. He loved guns and would make his own shells. If you knew him, you would know never to call him on a Friday night; because it would interrupt him from watching wrestling.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Darnell; daughters, Samantha Darnell and companion Timothy Swartz, Melissa Hall and husband Chris Hall, and Sara Jett; grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Jacob Smith, Justin Jett, Austin Hall, Iliyah Hall, Kayden Swartz, Shane Patton, Josh Lloyd, and Bethany Lloyd; and great-grandchild, Adelyn Hanley.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Sheila Price, Glenda Bryant, and Patricia Ring, brother, James Edward Darnell; and son-in-law, Chris Jett.
