On August 19, 1989, he married Beverly J. (Gooch) Deardurff and she survives.

He is survived by eight children: Tamara (Larry) Deardurff-Dillon of Springfield, OH, Chris (Tina) Deardurff of Belle Center, OH, Melissa Allen of Columbus, OH, Sgt. Paul worked as an electrician at Glacier Daido / D.A.B. for 30+ years in Bellefontaine.  He was a longtime  member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine, where he served as a Deacon and as sound technician.  He was a man of all traits, sweet and caring, who enjoyed music, family, and all things John Deere.  He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Rush Creek Township and was known as the "music man", because of the time he spent DJ'ing weddings and small parties, running sound for the Razz-M-Tazz, and the Logan Hills Festival, and then Taloga Outdoor Drama.  He loved to bring the room alive with music and also played drums for the W.C.O.C.C.B.
