Paul Hollingsworth Giersch

Paul Hollingsworth Giersch, age 62, of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 2, 2023, at his home in Wilmington. He was born on November 3, 1960, in Wilmington, NC, to the late Robert James Giersch, Sr. and Margaret Clara Hollingsworth Giersch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert James Giersch, Jr. and nephew James Robert Starling.
Paul worked as a delivery driver for Williams/Hangers Cleaning throughout his career. He dedicated himself to his work and took pride in his responsibilities. He was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Paul is survived by his loving sister, Madeline G. Sullivan, and her husband Wayne. He is also survived by his life-long partner, Debbie Gibbs, his daughter Erica Hayman, and his grandson Bryan Bordeaux. Paul will be deeply missed by his nieces, Adena Buck (Winston) and Morgan Buck, as well as his nephews, Cody and Hunter Starling, and Logan Buck. He also leaves behind many beloved cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
A service to honor and remember Paul's life will be held at a later date. During this time, family and friends will gather to share their memories and support one another in this time of grief.
Paul Hollingsworth Giersch will be remembered for his dedication, hard work, and the love he had for his family and friends. May his soul find eternal peace in the embrace of the divine.
