On Monday, October 16th 2023, Paul Aaron Herrera, loving father, brother and uncle passed away at the age of 42.
Paul was born on February 15th, 1981, to Judy B. Hamon and Charlie L. Herrera. Paul was his mom's baby but one of 9 siblings. As a child, Paul was known for his love of food and his bleach blonde hair until the age of seven. His childhood in the Midwest City area was filled with making lifelong friends and learning trades from his family, that would help him later in life as a handyman. He began his own family in 2002 with the birth of his son, Braiden, promptly followed by his 3 daughters Skylar, Lexie, and Joslyn.
Paul adored his Doberman dog, King Red. He had a passion for cars and enjoyed attending car meets and shows, especially if they had an emphasis on bass competitions. If he was at home, it was because there was a Raiders game on, and if he wasn't at home, he was at Chelinos. Paul was known for his quick wit, sometimes vulgar humor and his caring and selfless spirit.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Charlie, and his mother Judy. He is survived by his 4 children Braiden Cole, Skylar K'den, Kyla "Lexie" Alexis, and Joslyn Erin Potter-Herrera. His brothers Mike and David Maddox, Charles "Richie", Phillip and Juan Herrera and his sisters Cassandra and Misty Herrera and Priscilla Hogan. As well as several neices, nephews and cousins who loved Paul dearly. There will be a viewing for Paul's loved ones to say goodbye on Thursday and Friday, October 19th and 20th, 2023, form 8:00AM to 8:00PM, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73130. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
