Paul Fitchett Jio, 81, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Viewing will be from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 11, 2025 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Jio was born on December 7, 1943 in San Angelo to Henry, Sr. and Antonia Fitchett Jio. He married Nellie Martinez on May 15, 1974 in Ballinger. Paul worked at Western Iron Works, Santa Rita Wool Company, and at HandiMeat Packing. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, taking care of the yard, watching wrestling, westerns and scary movies and loved his Dallas Cowboys. Paul was a good person who had a strong bond with his wife and enjoyed being around family. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Paul is survived by his wife, Nellie of the home; his children, Jimmy Rios of San Angelo and Rita Moreno and husband Willie of Mareta; two siblings, Norma Martinez and Henry Jio, Jr. both of San Angelo; four grandchildren, James Rios and wife Alice of San Angelo, Christian Rios of San Antonio, Nicole Surgick of San Angelo, and Traci Pineda of Mereta; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Josiah, Abel, and Brooklyn; a nepew and niece, Michael Delacruz of Abilene and Crystal Martinez of San Angelo; and great nieces and nephews, Brandon Delacruz Destini Delacruz, Abraham Rangel and Israel Rangel.
