Paul L. Kelley, 64, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 12th at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport.
Paul was born in Bolton, Massachusetts on August 17, 1961, the son of Thomas D. and Patricia H. Kelley. He graduated from Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton in 1979, and then attended Boston State College. He was a long time resident of Salisbury Beach, loving the beach and entertaining his many many friends with his keen sense of humor and outstanding personality garnering him the title of “Mayor”. Paul faced many illnesses with bravery and humor.
Paul is survived by his loving family, brothers Thomas D. Kelley, Jr., and his partner Debra Geddes of Lancaster, MA, Jeffrey R. “Duffy” and his wife Patricia (Flynn) Kelley of Atkinson, NH, Patrick J. Kelley and his partner Nancy Derbyshire of Rolling Hills Estate, CA; his very special “sister-in-law” Theresa “Teri” Flynn, who gave excellent and very special loving nursing care to Paul and her husband Dennis C. Mahoney of Dorchester, MA; nephews Michael J. and his wife Jacqueline (Foley) and their son Colin Kelley of Mendon, MA and David F. Kelley and his partner Chrysten Gavel of Douglas, MA.
The family is most grateful for the support and compassionate care given to Paul at Anna Jacques Hospital. The staff, doctors and nurses helped us through a very challenging time. Thank you!
A special thank you to the dedicated visiting nurses of Alternative Home Care who provided comfort, dignity and care to Paul throughout his illness.
And a big thank you to Walmart - Paul LOVED that store!
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913. At 6:30 P.M. during the visiting hours a time for Remembrances will be shared. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in memory of Paul L. Kelley, to The Pettengill House, 13 Lafayette Road, Salisbury, MA 01952.
