A Skokie resident Paul graduated from St. Phillips of the Apostles School, 1976; Glenbrook High School, 1979; Lincoln Tech in the 1980s with a degree in auto mechanics.
He worked at UPS in Northbrook nearly 18 years. He also most recently worked part time at Goodwill in Northbrook.
Paul was also active volunteer at Little Bros of the Elderly and the Recyclery (both in Chicago) and Wright-way Rescue. He loved to travel and was a bicycling enthusiast. Most recently, he was active in a weekend card-playing group.
.He was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Chicago.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the prayers and love shown to them. Services and interment private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, C/O , 1775 Grove St., Glenview, IL 60025, or 355 N Ashland Ave., Chicago IL 60607.

My daughter started kindergarten with Paul in Evanston. One day Paul was sick and unable to attend school; my daughter said she was going to quit school because she missed Paul. My thoughts and prayers, and especially to Lorri who is bearing too many griefs this year.

I met Paul while playing cards with the card group. He was a very gentle soul. I would give the group kit kat candy, Paul always enjoyed it. I know his dear friend Frank is going to miss him terrible. My condolences to all of the family. God Bless and know that he will always be with you in spirit.
