This evening I was doing some internet surfing, looking up random articles and such. For some reason I searched Operation Union and Operation Union II. My uncle PFC William J Bresnahan Jr. was wounded during Operation Union II, and passed away on the hospital ship USS Sanctuary. A number of years later Paul contacted my grandparents William (Bill) Sr. and Rose and asked he could visit them at their home in Ashburnham. Paul told my grandparents that he was in the the 5th Marines but not the same company. He remembers loading Billy on the Huey for evac. The bond was made that day between Paul and my grandparents. I am quite suprised to see that Paul has passed . Rest Well

In the early 90´s the Fitchburg Civic Center hosted a Vietnam Moving Wall! I was looking to find the names of two Marines from Ashburnham who were KIA. When Paul heard me looking for Bill Bresnahan and Tom Sweeney he jumped right in to point out both names. He went on to tell me how Bill was in his Company 1st Marines, 3 - 5 Kilo Company when he was killed. We were instantly Brothers! So heartbroken for Paul and his extended family!
