Paul Roger Marshburn was born on November 26, 1955, to the union of the late Garfield Jr. and Bettie Marshburn in Burgaw, North Carolina. Paul was raised in the Maple Hill community and educated in the Pender County School System.
At an early age, he confessed to Jesus Christ and joined Lees Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he loved hearing the Word of God. He later joined Renovation Church in Hampstead, North Carolina, as a faithful member and the church custodian. He loved church, family, friends, the Maple Hill community, and work. Paul was a committed employee at Throne Apple Valley until its closure. He was employed at J & J Snacks in Holly Ridge, NC, Pender County Schools, and did custodial work until his health declined.
Paul transitioned peacefully from this life to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the home of his beloved sister and caregiver, Betty Shepard, in Hope Mills, NC. Paul is preceded in death by two sisters, brothers Luther Gray Lee and James Garfield Marshburn III.
