Paul L. Perkins, 63, of Eustis, Florida, passed away at his Eustis, FL home on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Born in Melbourne, Florida, he moved to Eustis, FL, in 2022 from Orlando, FL. Paul is survived and significantly missed by his Life Partner, Jeffrey P. Garrett, of 42 years together, loving life, each other, their families, and travel. He loved other cultures, and his travel included Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, and China. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Melvin Perkins. Attending Melbourne High School, he earned First Chair Clarinet for the 1979 Florida State Championship competition. Paul proudly served as a member of the Florida Flute Association and the Maitland Symphony Orchestra. His thriving career of many years as a hairdresser, Paul enjoyed his clients and friendships throughout all the cuts, styles, color, and perms. Paul was an avid Collector of all things Barbie. He enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening, had a love for animals, especially pets, and humor. Family members remaining to love and cherish memories of Paul are: Sister, Kathy Perkins Boudreaux, (Raymond, dcd) of Indialantic, FL, Sister, Karen Perkins Loeffler (Steven) of Concord, NC, nephew, Robert Boudreaux (Michelle) of Autin TX, niece, Laurie Bradshaw(Randy) of Kansas City, MO, Tyler Boudreaux, Tad Boudreaux, Leah Godfrey, Shea Boudreaux, Andrea Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, niece, Amy Bean(Ken) of Augusta, GA, niece, Mary Bean James (Nicholas) of Harlem, GA, nephew Michael Bean of Augusta, GA, Joseph James, and cousin, Jack Perkins (Kathy) of Satsuma, AL. Pets remembering Paul are, Murphy (Great Dane), Emaline ( Labrador Retriever & Mastiff mix), and Boq (Affenpinscher). With special affection for Great Danes. Private services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Lake Cares Food Pantry and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, www.gdlcf.org.
