Paul Souza, 71, of Coventry, RI, formerly of Fall River, MA, passed away on April 4, 2025.
Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Raposa) Souza. He grew up in Portsmouth and attended Portsmouth High School.
Paul was a dedicated handyman who cherished his time working on a farm in Tiverton, where he was known for his hard work and friendly demeanor. His passion for life was evident in all he did; he had an inquisitive spirit and engaged in a variety of hobbies, encompassing many interests and skills, especially holding a love for his favorite pastime of fishing.
Paul is survived by his beloved sister, Frances Wilson, of Middletown, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. He also leaves his nieces and nephews; Ruth Anne Zorra, Frances Hozey, Carl Rucker, Ronni Renee Murphy, Leesha Marie Evans, Nathan Souza, Amber Souza, Joseph Souza, and Hank Souza.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Peter Souza, and Joseph Souza Jr.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, his love of the outdoors, and his unwavering commitment to all he did. He touched many lives and leaves behind a warm legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.
Services for Mr. Souza will be private.
