Paul A. Hodgdon Jr.

Paul Arnold Hodgdon Jr., loving partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 74.
Born on July 9, 1950, Paul was a lifelong resident of the New Hampshire Seacoast. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1968 and later earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire, graduating Summa Cum Laude. His academic excellence led to a successful career with Lucent Technologies, where he eventually retired. Always drawn to the water and outdoor life, Paul later turned his passion into a business as the owner of NH Windsurf.
Paul shared over 30 cherished years with his devoted partner, Terri Pattison. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Christopher and his wife Tammy, Scott and his wife Stephanie, and Jessica and her husband Christopher along with his four grandchildren Allison, Daniel, Timothy, and Joshua.
Paul found his greatest joy windsurfing, biking along the beach, and spending time near the water. He was most content when surrounded by his family or playing with his beloved pug, Ziggy.
Paul is survived by his sister Nan and brother Guy. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara Hodgdon and Paul Hodgdon Sr., and his sister, Linda Dever.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held at Hampton Beach State Park (South Beach) on June 4, 2025 at 1pm.

Paul will be remembered for his brilliant mind, adventurous spirit, deep love for family, and unwavering kindness. His legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
