Paul F. "Kip" Valinsky, age 85, of Erie passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Erie on February 16, 1938, a son of the late Paul F. and Jean (Field) Valinsky.
Paul served in the U.S Army. He worked as a salesman and manager at Gary Miller Chrysler Dodge for over 20 years. Paul enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Erie bridge club. He liked going to the YMCA, playing racquetball, watching Wheel of Fortune, and having a good meal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Nicole Covel and Eric Andrus, and his beloved cat, Chloe and a sister-in-law Diana Averill, who passed on December 10, 2023.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dolores A. (Benecki) Valinsky, children, Susan Popely, husband Jed of Ohio, Jeanne Covel of Ohio and Linda Worthington, husband Glenn of Virgina; grandchildren Jeremy Covel, Jason Covel, wife Samar, Josh Covel, wife Jenna and Emily Edwards, husband Marc. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, a sister Lynda Schlensky.
Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th is assisting with arrangements.
