Payton "Jay" Fulmer, 79 of Gosport, Indiana passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Jay was born on January 3, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edwin L. and Idell (Price) Fulmer. He married Karen S. (Fewell) Fulmer on May 4, 1974. She lovingly survives. He is survived by daughter, Anna (Erik) Foster; grandchildren, Riley (Esther), Alex, Wade and Abby; great grandchildren, Cameron and Connor and sister, Ronda (Doug) Adamson. He was preceded in passing by his parents and sons, Troy Fulmer and Jed Fulmer.
He graduated from Franklin Community High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Jay retired after many years of dedicated service from GM/Rolls Royce.
He was a member of Franklin Jaycees and the Franklin Elks No. 1818. Jay enjoyed spending time with family, farming and his community.
Pastor Steve Blaydes, Jr. will conduct a Celebration of Jay's life on Monday, June 23, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with Visitation on Monday, June 23rd from 12:00 p.m. to time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Johnson County Community Foundation, Jed Moses Fulmer Memorial Scholarship, 398 S. Main Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
