Pearl Eleanor Cramer

Pearl Eleanor Cramer, 77, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Thomas Jefferson Parkway, departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Mrs. Cramer was born December 31, 1931, in Tompkinsville, Maryland; a daughter of William Earl and Pearl Elizabeth Wood Penn, and was raised in Charlottesville. She was a graduate of McIntire High School and a long time member of Mount Eagle Baptist Church.

On February 20, 1953, she married Robert Vernon Cramer of Apollo, Pennsylvania, who passed away in 1986.

Two children, a daughter, Laurel Mosley and her husband, Robert, and a son, Robert Vernon Cramer Jr., both of Charlottesville, survive. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Brandy Cramer, of Laurel, Maryland, Matthew Mosley and his wife, Carrie-Anne, of Oak Hill, Virginia, Russell Mosley and his wife, Jolene, of Columbia, Maryland, and Amanda Mosley of Laurel, Maryland; and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Erika, and Joseph Mosley.

A sister, Hilda Beatrice Penn, is deceased.

She loved animals, enjoyed reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Mount Eagle Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
