Pedro "Pete" Perez, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 59. Born on January 3, 1966, in Robstown, Texas, Pete was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his community, and his passion for the great outdoors.
Pete is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Perez, Sr.; two beloved grandchildren, Thomas James and Jaxon Owen; and brother-in-law, Jose Gonzalez, Jr.. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his wife, San Juanita Perez; and their children, Chelsea Nicole Perez (Joseph Espinoza), Felicia Perez, Blake Perez, Pedro Perez, Jr. (Lindsey), Dacian Perez (Hermelinda), and Stephanie Perez (Rodney Campos). His memory will be forever cherished by his mother, Trinidad Perez; siblings, Ricardo Perez, Jr.(Sylvia Roger Perez(Delma), and Debra Larabell; as well as his adoring grandchildren, Alexis, Nevaeh, Jeffrey, Katherine, Kayleigh, Kassidy, Joseph, Jr., Nataleigh, Mia, Nathan, Kensley, Carson, and La-nair, Jr.; along with numerous extended family members.
For 40 years, Pete served the city of Robstown with unwavering commitment, a testament to his dedication to the place he called home. His work ethic and integrity were unmatched, leaving an indelible mark on the community he so dearly loved. Pete's service extended beyond his professional life volunteering as a firefighter, a true demonstration of his courage and selflessness. His bravery and willingness to help others in their time of need were hallmarks of his character.
Pete's interests painted the picture of a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, finding solace in the tranquility of nature. A true Texan at heart, Pete relished in the art of BBQing, a skill he was more than happy to showcase at family gatherings. His love for the Dallas Cowboys was only eclipsed by the joy he found in spending time with his family, which was his greatest treasure.
Those who knew Pete would describe him as loving, kind, and friendly. His warm smile and generous spirit were infectious, and he had the rare ability to make everyone around him feel valued and important. Pete's legacy is not only in the work he accomplished or the hobbies he enjoyed, but in the love he shared and the lives he touched.
As we bid farewell to Pedro "Pete" Perez, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his influence will be felt for generations to come. Pete's story is not one of sorrow but of a life well-lived, surrounded by those he loved and who loved him in return. Rest in peace, dear Pete, until we meet again.
