Pedro M. "Peachie" Yanez

Pedro Martinez Yanez (Peachie) was called home to Heaven on Thursday June 30, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born June 7, 1933 in Superior Arizona to his parents Ana Martinez and Rafael Yanez. Pedro was a resident of Sonora, Winkelman and passed away peacefully at his home in Superior Arizona.
Pedro was a devoted Catholic serving as a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a Eucharist Minister for many years, he assisted with Prison Ministry for over 8 years and served with the Catholic Cursillo movement for over 30 years.
Pedro loved to dance with his beautiful wife and loved to play golf. He was everyone's friend and was loved by so many especially his nieces and nephews.
Pedro worked as a Truck Driver with Kennecott Copper Corporation until his retirement in 1978. He also served with Winkelman Fire Department for many years.
Pedro is preceded in death by his parents Rafael and Ana Martinez Yanez, his daughter Mary Esther Yanez, brothers Tony, Transito, Raymundo and Pablo, sisters Carmen, Julia, Mary Lou, Irene and Rose.
He is survived by his Honey Darling of 70 years, Elizabeth Caballero Yanez, his Sister Aggie Yanez, sister-in-laws Olivia and Martha Yanez, his daughters Anna Garcia (Edward), Patricia Placencio, Janette Cruz (Sonny), Liza Clark (Howard) and Jeannie Castaneda, 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
Services for Pedro will be announced at a later date.
