Peggy Louise Chambley, 84, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on November 28, 2025.

Peggy was born in Newnan on April 3, 1941, to parents Wilber and Pauline (Richey) Fambro, attended Newnan High School, and remained deeply rooted in the community throughout her life. She cherished simple joys-working in her garden, spending time with those she loved, and opening her home and heart to family and friends. Fun-loving, warm, and full of spirit, Peggy especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness. She was also a Christian and long-time member of Heatherwood Baptist Church, where she formed lasting friendships and nurtured her faith.

Peggy is survived by her sons Dennis Thrower, Brian (Cindy) Thrower, and Jody (Anna) Chambley; her grandchildren Justin Smith, Brandon (Carrie Anne) Thrower, Lauren (Lin) Holloway, Tyler (Ashley) Sumners, and Will Chambley; and her 8 great-grandchildren, who were a constant joy in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Chambley and Quinton Thrower; and her daughter, Robin Reneé Sumners.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St. in Newnan, from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Southview Cemetery in Morland, GA.

Peggy will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family above all else. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering affection will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.mckoon.com.
