Pete Boles Cargill

If you ask anyone who knew Pete Cargill what I kind of man he was, they will probably tell you," He was a straight shooter." Pete was born and raised in Conroe where he learned to love the outdoors.
Depending on the season, most of his free time was spent hunting, fishing, or in competitive shooting. He held 4 Texas State Trap Championships and one from Oklahoma. The freezer was always full of
game and he proved to be a fine cook.
He and Kerri were married January 8, 1971. He dazzeled her with his unconventional ideas of romance. He would bring home buckets full of Magnolia blossoms shot from tree tops. He would wake her for the first frost of the year to hike through the woods to find frost flowers. He proposed at a Stop sign. How could she resist? They were best friends and soul mates for over 53 years.
A Celebration of Life was on held on Pete's birthday this year while he was here to enjoy it. He was overwhelmed by the outporing of love and enjoyed revisiting photos and stories of outings with his sons, hunting trips, vacations, and holidays.
Somehow, in addition to being the perfect husband with a lot of hobbies, Pete managed to work for 45
years. After attending Sam Houston State, he I worked in the family store, ConTex Gun shop. He
worked 16 years for Tex-Kote Inc. in Houston. Finally, he retired after 22 years from Huntsman as a senior Chemical Operator. He also served on the Board of Directors of Keystone Natural Resources for decades.
