Peter T. Fiano, 70 of Connellsville died on Thursday August 8, 2024 in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born on December 29, 1953 in Connellsville a son of the late James and Elsie Carlson Fiano. Pete was a 1971 graduate of Connellsville High School. He was employed at Anchor Glass for 30 years and he then worked at Powerex, where he retired in 2020. Pete was an avid pool player, having played pool for many organizations and teams over the years throughout the area including the Independent Pool League at the Ye Olde Inn and the APA with the Scottdale Elks of which he was a member of the club. In 1993 his pool team finished in 3rd place in a National Pool tournament held in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Christine I. Ward Fiano; three children, Brant Fiano of Connellsville, Ashley Stoots and her husband Richie of Connellsville and Alana Leggett and her husband Evan of Charlottesville, VA; two grandchildren, Lennon McFadden and Adelaide Stoots and a baby boy on the way; two sisters, Vicki Basinger of Connellsville and Carolyn Callahan and Vernon Brooks of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, James and Nicholas Fiano and a sister, Diane Smith. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 A.M.- 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E.
