Obituary of Peter Forman
Peter Forman, 77, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Freehold Township. Mr. Forman was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Freehold. He was a graduate of Freehold High School Class of 1965 and had met his future wife in English class. Peter went on to operate the family business, W. Peter Forman & Sons Farm and most recently Forman Farms and Landscaping. Mr. Forman was a lifelong athlete who enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing and fishing. He loved spending time and swimming at Manasquan Beach & Inlet. Peter relished his time in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a devoted husband, beloved dad, adoring Poppy and a faithful brother and uncle.
Mr. Forman was predeceased by his parents, W. Peter and Muriel (nee Lane) Forman and his faithful canine companion, Romeo. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty; sons, W. Peter Forman and his wife, Jennie of Succasunna and Brian Forman and his wife, Catherine of Freehold; four grandchildren, Callie Forman, Peter John "P.J." Forman, Brian William Forman and Valentina Forman; brothers, John Forman and his wife, Janice of Farmingdale and Clayton Forman and his wife, Michele of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister-in-law Patricia Tully and her husband, Joseph; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from to 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 9:30 AM for the procession to his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.
