Peter Louis Meshigaud Sr.

Peter Louis Meshigaud, Sr., 34, of Wilson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, August 28, 2025.
He was born on March 21, 1991 in Escanaba, son to Julie Ann Halfaday and Reginald W. "Gus" Meshigaud. Peter graduated from Nah-Tah-Wahsh in 2011.
Over the years, Peter worked as a security guard, a slot attendant, and cashier at the Island Resort and Casino. He previously worked for Asplund Tree Service and was currently employed with L & H Utility Contractors, which he really enjoyed.
He enjoyed riding three and four wheelers, working on cars and bikes, and spending time with friends and family. He loved playing his guitar and going to concerts.
Among survivors include his three children who were his pride and joy, Sharea Louis Meshigaud, and twins, Serenity and Peter Louis Meshigaud, Jr.; father, Reginald Meshigaud; three brothers, Matthew Halfaday, Regi Meshigaud, and Dylan Keshick; two sisters, Jennifer Halfaday and Cissely Metzger; a niece who was a like a sister to him, Taniesha Halfaday; and nieces and nephew, Julie and Myka Corwart, Saliciana, Luciella, and Ezra Frye.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Halfaday; cousin, Zachary Halfaday; grandparents, Louis and Sally Eichorn and Peter and Emma Meshigaud.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 2nd beginning at 4 p.m. at the Hannahville Community Center. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the community center with the burial to follow at noon in the Hannahville Cemetery.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
