Peter Stanek, age 83, of Beaverton, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1941, in Manistee. Peter worked in construction with the Local Union 1098 for many years until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Evelyn Rose Boyer. Together, they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories until she preceded him in death on August 5, 2013.
Peter was an active member of the community. He was a member of the RC Airplane Club, 4th Degree Knight, as well as an involved member of Sacred Heart Church. When he was younger, he loved working at the Carnival. Peter loved putting together ship and plane models and wood working.
He is survived by his sisters: Catherine Boyer and Rosemary Mechleit; sister-in-law: Linda Stanek; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Tom Stanek.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Clare. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
