Philip Steven Hess age, 34 of Louisville, KY died May 25, 2024. Philip was a graduate of Eastern High School and attended Jefferson Community & Technical College. He was preceded in death by Grandparents, Glennis and Eileen Neace, Grandmother, Dora Hess Rawlings. Philip was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He Knew everything there was to know about that team! His passion was collecting and selling sports cards. He was quite the entrepreneur in that respect. Philp was also a collector of tennis shoes, collecting more shoes than he ever wore. Philip enjoyed collecting Marker's Mark bottles and memorabilia. He had over 100 Maker's Mark unopened bottles in his bedroom. Philip had wanted a dog since he was a small child. He finally got one when he was 16 (Capone) and another one in his 20's (Marley) which both crossed Rainbow Bridge. We can imagine both in his lap now. A favorite place of Philip's was Wild Dunes in Charleston, South Carolina where we spent many vacations with family friends. His dream was for us all to return together again. Philip was a hard worker. He never knew a stranger. His smile was infectious, and he had a kind compassionate soul. He loved his family. He was our first born and first grandson. He never let family forget that! His best friend was his baby brother, Matthew. Philip will be missed by many, and he will leave a void in the countless lives that he touched. Philip is survived by parents, Steve and Glenna Neace Hess; Brother, Matthew Hess. Memorial service will be 11am, Monday June 3, 2024, at Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Rd. Visitation will be 9am-11am Monday, June 3, 2024, at Broadway Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the funeral home to help pay for the final expenses or Broadway Arts Academy, 4000 Brownsboro Rd 40207 (https://www.broadwaybaptist.org/) Arrangements under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes to Remember".Read Obituary

So very sorry. The details describing Philip are so wonderful. I remember his magnificent smile and obvious warmth. It is obvious he loved fiercely and was loved fiercely. I pray your happy memories will fill many moments of future days. Matthew, know that you are in my heart and prayers.
