Philip C. Passen, 70, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on July 12, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Phil graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in mechanical engineering. He was a lifetime active member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Phil was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for 25 years. He was a member of and played softball with the Knights of Columbus. Phil coached his daughters in softball and loved watching them and his grandchildren play all their favorite sports. He was an advocate for girls' softball, and he served as an officer and president of the board, driving for establishing fields, lights, and restrooms for Olio Fields.
Phil worked as a Project Manager and Superintendent for Meyer Najem Construction for 23 years, retiring in December of 2020. They were very kind to Phil and his family, installing a wheelchair ramp at Phil's home for his benefit.
Phil enjoyed cooking, playing euchre, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He had a passion for watching sporting events and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts football teams. Phil loved vacationing with his family at Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. Most of all, he adored spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Pam Passen; beautiful daughters, Elizabeth (Jonathon) Statzer, Jennifer (Jonathan) Flegel, and Carolyn Passen (Nicholas Bennett); loving grandchildren, Ava Statzer, Liam Statzer, Ensley Flegel, and Olivia Flegel; sister, Leslie Sands; and his beloved dogs, Merlin and Cosmo.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Frank Joseph Passen; mother, Iris Barbara Clark Keyes; and his step-father, John Keyes.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, with services at 10:30 am, on Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road in Fishers.
