Phillip R. Midyette, 74, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2025, after a long health battle. He was born in Omar, West Virginia on May 10, 1951, to the late Vera (Hager) Midyette. The Lord blessed him when he sent Richard Midyette into his mother's life, who would later adopt Phillip. He was a Whiteland High School graduate and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Phillip was a Teamster for several years before his retirement in 2013.

Phillip married the love of his life, Christina DeMott Midyette on September 3, 1988. They were members of Mt. Gilead Church and Phillip served communion for several years, creating a group of forever friends.

Phillip was an avid horseman and worked at Midwest Trail Ride in Norman Indiana.

Survivors include his devoted wife and caretaker, Christina Midyette; son, Phillip Mark Midyette (Charity); grandchildren, Abram and Ainsley Midyette; brother, John Midyette (Michelle); and sister, Sheila Myers (Paul).

In honoring Phillip's wishes, his earthly remains will be cremated and there will be no services. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
