Phyllis Ann Guerin, 89, of rural Wabash, Indiana, was embraced by the arms of Jesus at 7:30 am, Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on October 13, 1935, in Marion, Indiana, to Alphard L. and Mildred (Bunch) Herring.
Phyllis married Gayle Eugene Guerin in Marion, Indiana, on November 19, 1955, and together they raised four children. Her beloved husband died on October 29, 2012.
She is survived by her two sons, Alan (Betty) Guerin of Marion, Larry (Renée) Guerin of Washington, DC, and daughters Linda Stevens of Wabash, and Katherine (Steve) Lawson of Marion; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Hannah, Dennis, Rachel and Joshua and seven great-grandchildren; sisters Norma (Chuck) Sink of Florida, and Debbie (Wayne) Kirkwood. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marilyn Sachse.
The burial will be family-only at the Friends Cemetery in Wabash and followed by a Celebration of Phyllis' life on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Church of Christ at Wabash at 3:00 PM. Phyllis' family extends a welcome to her community and church friends. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
