Phyllis Ann (McClellan) Hale, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2025. Born in Massillon, Ohio, she lived in Uniontown, Ohio.
Phyllis graduated from Massillon-Washington High School, and retired from Lake Local Schools. Phyllis was a member of First Christian Church in Massillon, and enjoyed The Special Olympics, reading, the beach, and traveling to Gulf Shores in Alabama.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lucy McClellan. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Hale; son, Robert Hale; daughter, Susan (David) Vogelgesang; granddaughter, Emily (Wesley) Taylor; and great grandchildren, Miles, Jack, and Lucy Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel in Massillon (8151 Stuhldreher St NW Massillon, Ohio 44646) on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials be made in honor of Phyllis to Stark Public Special Olympics (1206 South LocustSt., Canal Fulton, OH 44614).
