Phyllis J. Smith, 85, of Anderson, passed away February 16, 2025, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson. She was born on October 8, 1939, in Anderson to the late Philip C. & Ruth (Roberts) Hotzel.
She graduated from Anderson High School in 1957. She had previously worked at GM/Delco and Anderson High School systems.
Phyllis enjoyed shopping, traveling, and visiting her place on the lake and was a good cook. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, Tim Bridges; nieces, Carol (CJ) Edgecomb & Cheryl Hadlow.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Monty E. Smith; sister & brother-in-law, JoAnne L. (Ralph) Hadlow.
A private service will be held. Services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
