Phyllis Ann Wiesneth, 80, of Huntley, passed away at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge on December 30th, 2024.
She was born April 2nd, 1944, in Elgin, the daughter of J. Maurice and Vernadean (Rogers) Howard.
Phyllis was a member of the 1962 Class of Huntley High School. She met Alfred E. Wiesneth at Union Special and they were married on September 26, 1964, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntley, IL. Phyllis worked at Union Special, Wayne E. Zimmerman Construction and then Fryer Company until she retired in 2007. She volunteered at the Grafton Food Pantry and Sweet Repeats in retirement and loved decorating cakes, sewing, quilting, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband Alfred; her children, Sandra (Clark) Borhart, Deborah (Brett) Johnson, and Judith (Jeremy) Fowler; her grandchildren, Hannah (Dan) Baczynski, Joel (Ashley) Borhart, Grace (Kyle) Kroll, Nicole (Drew) Reese, Stephanie Johnson, Alec (Emily) Johnson, Delia (Peter) Weitzel, Veronica Fowler, Ryan Fowler, and Tessa Fowler; her 6 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jacquie (Rick) Zerbel, and Carol (Jim) Ayres; and sister-in-law, Judy Howard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maurice Howard.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 7th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd, in Huntley. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the church from 9 – 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phyllis's name may be directed to the St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
