Phyllis J. Wood, 73, of Danville, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 22, 1950 in Manchester, Kentucky; daughter of the late Belph & Bonnie Jean (Hoskins) Campbell.

She is survived by sons, Stephen Thomas, Randall & (Julie) Thomas; step-sons, Rex & (Kim) Wood and Bryan Wood; brothers, Larry & (Margaret) Campbell and Jimmy & (Teresa) Campbell; two grandchildren, Stephen Blake & (Hannah) Thomas and Sarah Emilee Thomas; one great-grandchild, Delilah Thomas; and her companion, Conley Ray; step-grandchildren, Tyler Gregory Wood, Liam Samuel Wood, Autumn Wood Smith & (Andrew Smith), and Taylor Wood.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Samuel F. Wood, Jr.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Stacy Tuttle officiating.

Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
