Pracilla was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving a legacy of love, faith, and community.
Pracilla dedicated her life to her family and her spiritual community. She was actively involved in hosting and leading a prayer group whenever possible. Her commitment to her faith was evident as she taught Bible study and attended weekly prayer hour, touching the lives of many in her community.
In her professional life, Pracilla worked as a Telephone Operator and later as a Frame Attendant for Bell South, where she served for over 40 years. Her warm personality and hard work endeared her to her colleagues.
Pracilla was passionate about interior decorating, using her creative eye to transform her home into a welcoming haven. Her second love was flower gardening, as she lovingly tended to her beautiful yard, which featured an array of vibrant flowers, including roses, daylilies, Peggy Martins, bleeding hearts, and many more. She was known for her green thumb and was proud to share the beauty of her garden with friends and family.
An outgoing spirit, Pracilla was a social butterfly who cherished time spent with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Gregory (Diane) Bordelon, Gary (Victoria) Bordelon and Leslie (Kevin) Thibodeaux; sister, Edola (Darrell) Boyer; brother, Kenneth Champagne; grandchildren, John "Dima" Bordelon, Gabriela Angelique Bordelon, Chase Thibodeaux, Amber Tipton, Blaise (Kira) Thibodeaux, Maggie Rose Thibodeaux, Aidan Thibodeaux, Seth Thibodeaux, Collin Thibodeaux and Ava Thibodeaux; great-grandchildren, Amelia Thibodeaux, Madalyn Tipton, Jamison Tipton, Austin Tipton and Allison Tipton; and the father of her children from previous marriage, Donald Bordelon.
Her parents, Henry and Rose Aimee Toutcheque Champagne, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be John Bordelon, Chase Thibodeaux, Aidan Thibodeaux, Seth Thibodeaux and Collin Thibodeaux along with honorary pallbearers Kenneth Champagne, Darrell Boyer and Warren Bordelon.
Pracilla loved all babies, the born and unborn as they are all gifts from God. She supported the Acadiana Pregnancy Center and Clinic which is an anti-abortion clinic where young mothers and pregnant young women can get free assistance to help them. Please consider a donation in Pracilla’s name in lieu of flowers.
