BEVERLY- Priscilla Jane Rowand, 92, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2021 at Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield. She leaves behind her daughters, Candy Melanson and Cindy Kennedy, her son John Wilson, her seven grandchildren, Kristopher Melanson (Christina), Joshua Melanson (Molly), Erick Melanson, Matt Kennedy, Sean Kennedy, John Wilson III, and Catherine Wilson, along with her great granddaughter, Mae Melanson.

Priscilla was born in Beverly on May 23rd, 1929, the daughter of the late Edward Hearn and Bertha (Frost) Hearn. She grew up in Beverly and lived there all her life. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1947 and then worked for several years as a Nurses Aid at Salem Hospital tending to newborn babies in the nursery.

In 1953, she married the late John Wilson of Beverly and together they raised three children on Pearl Street Extension in the Cove neighborhood. After John passed in 1972, she remarried the late F. Elliot Rowand. Together with Elliot, she worked at Rowand's Fisheries in Beverly for many years.

Priscilla was always ready for an adventure and she traveled all over the world from Africa, to Asia, and Europe. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, playing golf, and sharing meals with her friends and family. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, generous attitude, and independent spirit.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Priscilla's funeral services, which will be held in O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple Street, (Rte. 62) Danvers, on Tuesday, June 15th at 11 AM.
