Quentin Julian
February 24, 1976 - December 31, 2022
Quentin was born on February 24, 1976, to Mary Jane Johnson and Darrell Julian Sr. He has been the chosen one since birth. He was blessed to have loving great-grandparents that adopted him and raised him as their son. They treated him the same as their own children. Quentin had the childhood of his life being raised in Rayne, and attended Rayne High School. After school, Quentin had several jobs, including barbering, truck driver, being a part of the Mardi Gras association, and most recently cooking.
Quentin met the woman of his dreams and married her on February 24, 2019, which was also his birthday! (This was a brilliant move on his part; he could never forget his anniversary.) Not only did he become a husband on this day, he also became a father and grandfather. Quentin called Jamal, Jhkeya, Destiny, De'Shawn, Diamond, Damon, DaMarcus, and Dylan his bonus children. And if you asked him, he was not the step-father, but he was the father that stepped up! He also had 10 beautiful grandchildren that called him Pawpaw Jut, and 3 God children that he loved, JaLayna, Brellon, and Danisha.
Quentin was the life of the party. You would never see him without a smile on his face and a cigarette in his hand. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cooking. Their life together was brief but wonderful and he got to travel and see the world. He did things that he never thought he could or would do. He really enjoyed a good party where he could have a good drink. He often said, "I don't drink, I drink drinks!" He had a lot of nicknames: Jut, JU, Feet, and Juice(Ahh) just to name a few. Quentin had a special swag about him. He was always freshly shaved with a good clean fade. His trademark look was a backward facing baseball cap and Air Force Ones. He was a good son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, friend and family member. He will forever be missed.
We are filled with grief at the passing of Quentin Tremayne Julian. Sadly, Jut was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 9:19 am surrounded by the people that loved him most. He was only 46 years old and left us far too soon. He will forever be missed by his loving wife of three years, Mrs. Gwendolyn Julian, his father David (Lolita) Julian Sr. of Houston, TX, his mother Mary Jane Johnson, three brothers; Roncarlos (Kathy) Johnson of
Spring, TX, Lamon Lavan and Darrell Julian Jr. of Houston, TX, and Prince Johnson of
Lafayette, LA, one sister; Tamara Johnson of
Houston,TX, Bernadine (Willie) Senegal of Rayne, LA, one very special aunt, Ethel Smith of Rayne, LA, whom he loved like a second mother, eight children, ten grandchildren, three God children, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Quentin was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Batiste Julian and David Julian Sr., one sister, Princess Johnson, and two brothers, David Julian Jr., and W.J. Julian. The stairway to heaven will be busy as he reunites with his loved ones.
