R. Maas Sr. Obituary Robert Jeffrey Maas was born on January 2, 1948 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Eva (Schmeling) and Robert Joseph Maas. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966.
Jeff married the love of his life, Loann (Josie), and together they raised two sons, Rob and John, and later became grandparents to nine grandchildren.
Jeffrey attended the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business, graduating in 1970. His career focused on mergers and acquisitions and finance. He founded three businesses: Estrust Ltd, Bayview Capital Group, and Bayview Capital Partners.
Jeffrey loved to hunt, fish, travel, and spend time with his family. He was also an aficionado of cars, motorcycles, good food, and live music.
More than anything, Jeffrey loved his family. Whether getting together for Sunday dinner, Easter, Christmas, birthdays, or hanging out together at the lake, he loved every minute spent with his wife, his sons, and his numerous grandchildren, as well as his particular friends, whom he loved as if they were family.
Robert Jeffrey Maas Sr. passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 77. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Eva Maas, and friends Dan Pederson and Tom Abbas. He is survived by his wife, Loann; sons, Robert (Kristin) and John (Catherine); grandchildren, Omri, Nina, Elsa Rose, Jack, Will, Maggie, Dillon, Hank, and Luke; sister, Kath (Roberta); Mike Pederson, Jay Pederson, Kristi Schultz and their families; as well as many other cousins, family, and friends.
