Rachel Marie Brickey of Pine Bluff, age 83, passed away June 5, 2024. She was born August 19, 1940 at
Hickory Ridge, Arkansas. Rachel was the daughter of the late Torie and Eva Brickey.
She lived with her mother and brother Jerry Brickey in Hickory Ridge until they moved to Redfield,
Arkansas in 1991. After the passing of her mother and the marriage of her brother, Rachel moved to
Pine Bluff in her home located behind her sister, Carol, where she lived happily until her passing.
Rachel never had children but had many nieces and nephews that she called her own. She was always so
excited when the family got together and cherished every moment.
Rachel gave her life to her Lord and Savior in 1970. She was later baptized at Agape Baptist Church by
Brother A.C. Rhodes. She never waivered in her belief or service to her Redeemer. Although she was
very small in stature, she was a mighty prayer warrior that her loved ones relied on constantly. Rachel
loved her church family at Shannon Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her brothers, Claud Brickey, Vernon Brickey,
BJ Brickey, and Floyd Brickey.
Rachel is survived by her sisters, Carol Johnson of Pine Bluff, Vera Jackson of Pine Bluff, Jerry Brickey
(Linda) of Redfield, a host of nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank Charles (Sonny) O'Fallon and all the sweet sisters at Shannon Road
Baptist Church who made sure she felt loved and cared for during her final years with them.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Shannon Road Baptist Church with
Pastor Josh Blevins and Associate Pastor Gene Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at Fitzhugh
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Service.
