Ralph J. Baldassarri, a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 19, 1942, Ralph's life was a testament to the enduring power of hard work, family, and the joy found in the simple things.
Ralph was the loving patriarch of a large and vibrant family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they combined each of their children, Theresa, Ralph (Dawn), and Peter Baldassarri with Suzanne (Ed) Krumenacker, Heather (Jimmy) Walsh and Bruce Messur into their own loving family. His legacy of love and laughter continues through his siblings, Albert, Ken, and Annemarie, and he was a guiding light to his grandchildren Elyssa, Tara, Bryan, Samantha, and Hunter, as well as his great-grandchildren, Rowan and Makenzie. Ralph was predeceased by his brothers Martin and Thomas, and his sister Bea, who he now joins in peace.
Ralph's life was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit, which led him to own and operate the beloved Ralph's Butcher Boys in Carmel, NY. His store was not just a place of business but a community hub where friends, family, and neighbors gathered. Ralph's presence behind the counter was a comforting constant, and his expert advice on cuts of meat was sought after by all who knew him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ralph had a passion for gardening. His gardens were a source of pride and joy, a physical manifestation of his patience, care, and dedication. Those who knew Ralph best would describe him as selfless, wise, and spirited. He lived life with a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of wisdom.
Ralph's spirit and the memories shared with him will be deeply missed but forever cherished. His impact on the lives of those around him was profound, and his absence will be felt by the many hearts he touched. As we bid farewell to Ralph J. Baldassarri, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the grace of everyday moments turned into lasting memories.
