GLENVILLE – Ralph A. Nocera, 91, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family.
Born and raised in Schenectady, Ralph was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Landolfo) Nocera. A proud graduate of Siena College, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. Ralph served his country honorably as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army.
Ralph dedicated his professional life to practicing law, faithfully serving his community for many years through his private practice, Ralph A. Nocera, Attorney at Law. Known for his integrity, wisdom, and deep sense of justice, he built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Above all, Ralph was a family man. He was deeply devoted to his loved ones and especially cherished his grandchildren, with whom he shared a special and enduring bond. His presence was a steady source of strength, love, and guidance.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara (Pucci) Nocera; his cherished sons, Anthony and Mark Nocera; and his siblings.
Ralph is survived by his loving children, Tina Nocera-Drouin and Todd Nocera; his adored grandchildren, Macy Drouin, and Mark, Michael, and Nicholas Nocera; his siblings; and several nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 1 pm, with Fr. Dominic Isopo, officiating, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00 until the service.

I worked for Ralph's Law Office beginning in 1977 thanks to his long time secretary Laurie B. Hallak (deceased). He was the best, Ralph was a strict boss, he wanted work done correctly and by the book, he taught me so much that to this day, I can still recite paragraphs of legal jargon. He was very kind, to everyone, no matter who it was. I am so glad I got to see Ralph for his 91st birthday at Glendale Nursing Home, celebrated with cheesecake, apparently his favorite, he really enjoyed himself. Ralph and Barbara were so kind to me and helped me thru some life changes, which I'll never forget. I will miss him dearly, and think of him fondly forever. I'm glad I kept in touch with him all these years. Dawn
