Ramchand Mulla, 70, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lachmi (Sesayya) Mulla for 44 years.
Ramchand was born in Berbice, Guyana on November 16, 1952, a son of the late Munddy and Boodni Mulla. Before his retirement, he worked as a machine operator for GSS Manufacturing for 2 years. He was a founding member of the Waterbury Hindu Temple and was an active member of the Rising Star Cricket Club.
Besides his wife, Rado of Waterbury, CT, Ramchand leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Khemraj Mulla and his wife, Omawatti, Jagnarine Mulla and his wife, Sanneta, daughters, Dymanti Jeffrey and her husband, Adrian, Chitrawattie Ramgobin and her husband, Aroon all of Waterbury, CT, Sunil Mulla and his wife, Sherry of MA and grandchildren, Divya, Selina, Amesha, Sara, Nisha, Angelina, Sanjana and Ambica. He also leaves his brothers, Hardatt Singh of Bronx, NY, Deonarine Mulla of Queens, NY, Chand Mulla and his wife, Kamini of Berbice, Guyana, Hemo and his wife, Dolly of Waterbury, CT, sisters, Dhanraji Naipaul of Queens, NY, Jass of Queens, NY, Iris of Bronx, NY, Batie of Brampton, Canada, Iren of Canefield, Guyana and Nelly of England and many nieces and nephews, including Nadia and her husband, Sandesh, Mohand and his wife, Melissa and Shallo.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Ramchand will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. His funeral service will follow the next day, Monday, December 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. After the funeral service, a procession will proceed to the Brookside Memorial Crematory, 200 Benson Rd., Middlebury, CT for the conclusion of his services.
