It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Randall Ray Kvasnicka. On July 2, 2024, he passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado holding his daughter's hands. He died of complications from a respiratory virus. Randy was 71 years old.
Randy is survived by his two daughters, Keri Michelle Kvasnicka and her husband Trevor Dykes and Cheri Marie Horta and her husband Mario Horta III. Three grandchildren, Micah Renee Salazar, Peyton Sue Horta and Felipe Mario Horta IV. And two great-grandsons, Jasiah Rosales and Elijah Rosales.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Ray Kvasnicka, mother, Elsa Faye Nicholson, and brother, Rocky Dean Kvasnicka.
Randy was born at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 26, 1952.
Randy graduated from Broomfield High school in 1970 and started his thirty-year career with Kingsoopers shortly after.
Randy married Virginia Kay Schafer on June 23, 1973. They welcomed their oldest daughter, Keri Michelle Kvasnicka on May 9, 1974. And youngest daughter, Cheri Marie Kvasnicka on May 12, 1977.
Randy was a proud lifetime Broomfield area resident who loved his family dearly.
He loved spending weekends out at Stanley and Boyd Lake waterskiing, camping and fishing with his family. As well as hunting and stock car races and occasional trips to Central City. Randy always had a smile on his face and was an amazing dad, uncle, papa and friend.
