Randy Ray Brumfield Sr, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. Randy was born in Cynthiana, KY on January 10, 1955 to the late Silas Brumfield and Grace Brumfield. Working most of his life in the automotive field,
he went on to become an ASE Certified Master Technician. In 1986 he helped open Sturgill Car Care Center as its Manager/Head Technician. In 2002 he would buy the company running it until early this year when he retired after over 55 years of experience.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by; his twin sister, Sandy Walker; sister, Mary Caudill; brother, Asa Brumfield; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cosby Rhoades and Elizabeth Rhoades.
Randy is survived by his wife of 47 years Audrey Brumfield; son, Randy Ray Brumfield Jr.; daughter, Sharon Kay Dunaway; sister Evelyn Jackson; three brothers, Charlie, Gerald, and Joe Brumfield; and five grandchildren, Britney Dunaway, Josh Dunaway, Nick Dunaway,
Kaylee Dempster, and Sophia Varnadore.
Visitation for Randy will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Rd.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road officiated by Pastor Donovan Stewart. Proceeding the service, Randy will be laid to rest at his forever home at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
