Randy Lee Buchanan, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2024, at the age of 46. Born on September 14, 1978, in Orlando, Florida, Randy touched the lives of many with his infectious laughter and kind heart.
Randy was a proud graduate of Evans High School, class of 1996. After working at Party City and Special Effects Systems, Inc., Randy took ownership of the latter in 2004, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit. Randy's playful spirit found expression through his company, Special Effects Systems, where he conjured magical moments with confetti and streamers for celebrations of all kinds.
Randy was known for his joyful nature and mischievous sense of humor. His favorite holiday was undoubtedly April Fool's Day when he would delight in surprising his loved ones with elaborate pranks. He cherished spending time with family and friends, often enjoying a margarita at Garibaldi's or relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Florida's west
Randy is survived by his loving husband, Clay Brandon McBee; his brothers, Mark Brown (Cassandra), Glen Brown (Kim), and Dean Brown; his Aunt Beatrice and Aunt Jane; his nieces, Christina Brown (James), Melissa Brown; his grandnephews, Grayson, Zackery, Jayden, and Donovan. He is also survived by his loving friends, Jonathon Toole (Yvette), who were more like family to him.
A celebration of life will be held - time and place to be determined. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Liver Foundation at www.liverfoundation.org.
Arrangements entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, 326 E. Orange Ave., Eustis, FL 32726. Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall at www.hamlinhilbish.com
