Rawlin Dutson passed away on June 4th, 2024 at the age of 59 at his home in Oak City, Utah, surrounded by his family, after a tough battle with bladder cancer that had spread into his lungs. He was born in Delta, Utah on December 18th, 1964 to Calvin and Vernell Dutson.
Rawlin was raised in Oak City, alongside his 3 brothers and 3 sisters. After graduating from Delta High School, he served an LDS mission in Fresno, California. Upon his return, he took a job at the Intermountain Power Plant, where he served diligently as an A operator. Rawlin loved life in Millard County and spent a lot of time on his farm and camping with his family.
Rawlin married the love of his life Julie Finlinson on February 21st, 1991. Together they raised three children — Austin, Dallas, and Kennedi. He was a very loving father, finding his greatest joys in supporting and watching his children chase their dreams.
Rawlin was preceded in death by his mother, Vernell Dutson, his father, Calvin Dutson, and his brother Jay Dutson. He is survived by his wife, Julie Dutson, and his children, Austin, Dallas, and Kennedi Dutson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Oak City 1st and 2nd Ward Chapel. The viewing will be Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 AM both at the Oak City 1st and 2nd Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Oak City Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral will be streamed and available at this link: https://youtube.com/live/YtQTCGpmhmU?feature=share.
