Winn - Ray Fogg Sr., age 92, born August 16, 1931 in Howland, Maine, son of Ivory and Madeline (Beatham) Fogg, passed away peacefully at his favorite place - his camp on Mattaseumk Stream in Winn on July 24, 2024.
Ray is survived by his wife of 40 years Jean (Thurlow) Fogg, brother Douglas Fogg (Pat), sons Ray Fogg Jr. (Mary), Michael Santos (Rose), Lewis Day Jr., 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Ray is predeceased by former wife Patricia (Nelson) Fogg, siblings Beatrice, Ivory, George, Earl and Lillian, children Robert Fogg, Kevin Santos, Teri Cleary, and Julie Krapf, as well as 3 grandchildren.
A Woodsman and Cement Mason, Ray was proud of many of his accomplishments during his lifetime living in Connecticut and Maine, including creating his own foundation business Ray Fogg & Sons, successful for over 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with family at camp on the 4th of July, hunting, fishing, playing cards and cribbage, taking care of "HIS" many wildlife creatures, and helping anyone in need. He will be missed most by his favorite cat, Milo, and remembered by many friends and family. Special thanks to his daughter in law, Rose Pascale, for being a great caregiver, and to my great grandson, Shay Hurd. for always going to our dinners on Fish Fridays and our adventures into hunting camp.
Funeral services for Ray will be held at Bowers Funeral Home in Lincoln, Maine. Calling hours Thursday, August 1st from 6-8pm and Friday, August 2nd from 11am-1pm. Funeral Service will be officiated by Maurice Grey at 1pm. Ray will be laid to rest in East Winn at Potter Brook Cemetery, with a gathering for all and Celebration of Life at Lee/Winn Elementary immediately to follow until 6 p.m.
