Ray Steven "Sig" Sigmon, 63, of Randleman died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Beaufort, SC to Billy Ray and Pearl Faulkner Sigmon. He was employed for over 30 years with Guy M. Turner, Inc. in Greensboro, starting out as a crane operator and now as a project manager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Randleman, where he served as scout master for Boy Scout Troop 531 for many years and continued his involvement until recently. He was a family man, always making sure that his family was taken care of. Ray was a mentor to many and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Charlotte Doss Sigmon; Son, Stephen Sigmon and his wife, Valarie of Randleman; Daughter, Wendy Hoyt and her husband, Devon of Pelion, SC; Grandchildren, Lincoln, Serenity, Emmett, and Karlee; Sister, Sharon Kicherer and her husband James of CA; and Brother, David Sigmon and his wife Becky of OK.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9:30-10-30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St. in Randleman. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jenna Grogan officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204 or First U.M.C., 301 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317.
Ray's family would like to extend a special thank you to his Guy M. Turner work family for their love and support during his declining health to make him comforatable while continuing to be able to come to work and do the job he loved.
