Raymon Harold Davis, Sr., 90, was born in Cordele, Georgia passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He spent his early years in Cordele until later moving with his family to Marietta, Georgia. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Peggy L. Davis and they were married for 67 years. He worked and retired from Lockheed-Martin Aeronautics in Marietta for 42 years. He served in the Georgia Air National Guard during thier marriage. Peggy and Raymon loved doing woodworking and arts and crafts. They retired and moved full time to Blue Ridge, Georgia where they bought 18 acres and built a cabin and workshop. They enjoyed watching wildlife from their large porch and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. In 2016, they moved to Woodstock, Georgia to be closer to family.
Raymon was preceeded in death by his infant son Carl Alvin Davis, wife Peggy Davis, parents Carl and Ruby Davis, sister Kathleen Hammond. Raymon is survived by his sister, Jeanelle LeRoy, and his children Janet (John) Rodgers, Ray Davis Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
His family would like to thank the caring staff at The Reserve at Towne Lake Memory care in Woodstock and the staff at Tranquility Hospice Care in Marietta.
A private family burial will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 21st under the care of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. www.carmichaelcares.com, 770-424-4924.
